Strawberries are delicious, low in calories and very high in vitamin C. Strawberries are also a good source of folate. The seeds in strawberries provide insoluble fiber, which helps prevent constipation.

Benefits:

Drawbacks:

  • Provoke allergies in many people.

Strawberries are a good source of pectin and other soluble fibers that help lower cholesterol. They contain bioflavonoids, including red anthocyanin and ellagic acid, substances that may help prevent some cancers.
